I stopped on my way back from town to paint the Coronation Channel, this was opened in 1953,to divert excess waters around Spalding and ended the flooding that was frequent in the area.
We had brilliant sunshine this morning but by the time I got cracking the sky was a familiar grey colour with a hint of warmth as the sun went down.
